Kukka’s easy to keep happy—just a quick hand wash with warm, soapy water, a good dry, and it’s back to showing off. Empty the tray often so your plants don’t throw a pool party, and treat the ceramic kindly (translation: no dropping). It’s happiest indoors, but if you take it outside, protect it from frost and wild weather. Each piece is handmade, so expect little quirks in glaze and size—they’re what make Kukka one of a kind.

Maija Puoskari is the Finnish designer who makes flowers feel right at home. Trained first as a florist and later as a ceramicist, she’s the rare talent who can make a pot as poetic as the plant inside it. Working in glass and ceramics, her designs bloom from Helsinki to Japan—proof that when nature meets good design, the results are anything but garden-variety.
